Botanical name: Fragaria spp.
Appearance: A light pink to reddish powder. The hue may vary across batches.

Strawberry Powder, which is high in polyphenols and vitamin C, protects and soothes the skin. It is an excellent toner that helps to minimize the appearance of pores.

Recommended Use: The maximum amount of powdered fruit extract should not exceed 0.5% of the entire product, and the maximum amount of fruit extract in tincture form should not be more than 5%. Note: Fruit extracts include all of the nutrients and health characteristics of the fruit, but may or may not smell like the original fruit. Fruit extracts are intended to give nutritious properties to the formulation, not to fragrance the products.

MAKE A TINCTURE WITH FRUIT EXTRACTS.
Fruit extracts are best added to formulations by first dissolving them in an appropriate solvent, such as alcohol (vodka or similar grain alcohol with less fragrance), water, glycerin, or a solvent blend (water: alcohol or water: glycerin), and then adding the tincture to your product. Because not all extracts are totally soluble, you may notice some residue after blending; if this occurs, use a filter to remove it. If an extract is only partially soluble, the MSDS will mention such.
Unlike herbal plant tinctures, the tincture does not need to sit to extract the plant's contents. This was previously done during the extraction process, and the goal is merely to liquefy the powder so that it may be equally distributed throughout your product. So, after the fruit extract is moistened with the solvent, it can be employed immediately.

Normally, a 100 ml tincture is comparable to 20 g of raw plant. For example, apple powder has an extract ratio of 12:1, which means that 12 kg of apple extract is required to make 1 kg of extract. Because you want the 100 mL tincture to contain 20 g of raw fruit, mix 1.6 g (according to the table above) of extract with 100 mL of acceptable solvent.

Remember that once the tincture is wet, it must be used immediately, unless a good preservative is utilized.
Use fruit extracts at a rate of 0.1-0.5% of the product's weight.
To include extracts into formulations, they should often be added during the cooling phase.
• For thick goods, such as shampoos and creams: Mix 5-10 ml of hot water (45 °C -50 °C, the temperature of the cool down phase) into the powdered extract until dissolved. Combine this mixture thoroughly with the product.
For mists, toners, and other water-based products, the extract does not need to be dissolved before being added.
