Rhodochrosite has bands of colour from white to more orange tone flowing through, making each stone unique.

The name Rhodochrosite comes from the Greek for 'Rose-Coloured', after is main foundation of pink colouring.

Rhodochrosite is sometimes known as the 'Inca Rose', due to their ancient Incan belief that Rhodochrosite was created by the blood of their ancestors turning to stone.
