The MiniSense 100 from TE Connectivity is a high-sensitivity vibration sensor based on a cantilever-type piezoelectric film element. It’s capable of detecting even small vibrations and motion through changes in mechanical stress, which are converted into electrical charge output (260 pC/g sensitivity).
This sensor is vertically mounted, with a bent cantilever beam that responds to vibrations or impacts, making it ideal for applications such as vibration sensing, tamper detection, impact sensing, and security alarms. It offers self-generating output, meaning no external power supply is needed for basic signal generation — the piezoelectric effect itself produces the voltage.
It is small, lightweight, and capable of detecting frequencies from a few Hz up to several kHz. The MiniSense 100 is widely used in IoT devices, smart sensors, vibration monitoring systems, and consumer electronics where compact motion detection is required.
