Belarus 20,000 Roubles Banknote 

This 20,000 Roubles banknote was issued by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus in 1994, during the country's post-Soviet transition. Printed on paper and measuring 150 × 69 mm, it belongs to the First Rouble series (BYB), which circulated between 1992 and 2000. The note was officially demonetized on 31 December 2003.

Obverse:
Depicts the National Bank of Belarus building in Minsk, with the denomination clearly displayed below. The text is in Belarusian Cyrillic, identifying the issuer as the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (НБРБ).

Reverse:
Features the "Pahonia" — a historic emblem showing a mounted knight, originally the Coat of Arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The Pahonia also served as the official emblem of the Republic of Belarus from 1991 to 1995. The reverse also includes a legal warning against counterfeiting.

Note:
The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus was initially established in 1922 as the Belarusian Republican Bank and later operated under the USSR’s State Bank. Following Belarusian independence in 1990, it was renamed and restructured to function as the country’s central bank.
