Very rare and unusual mid-Victorian jewelry box made of hand painted opaline glass on a brass base. I collect Victorian boxes of all kinds, particularly ones made of glass, and I can count the number of examples like this I have seen over the years on one hand! Though this has been in my collection a very long while, I am ready to move it on to make room for new acquisitions.
