There is something so dreamy about the specific, defined banding of malachite - at once earthy and otherworldly, with an oh-so-subtle sheen. Round beads perfectly play up the concentric rings of variated green hues, a feature of the mineral's growth habit - as the rough gemstone forms it takes what's called a botryoidal shape, with attached spheres reminiscent of a bunch of grapes. 

Good vintage condition, could benefit from restringing for regular wear. c1970s. British-origin.
