One of the most interesting & unusual Victorian hand vases I’ve seen. The dealer thought it might be Bennington, who did indeed manufacture some of the finest parian hand vases in the 19th century. They were a few consonants off: It’s not Bennington, but Bevington, known for moss ware ceramics. Sometimes it’s also called “elfinware,” which is so charming- it features textured areas that look like moss & applied flowers. Very rare to find a hand vase in this style; I could only find one other! Measures about 8” tall in very good condition overall with some inconspicuous chips to one or two flowers.
