It is virtually maintenance free due to its high concentration of natural oils and minerals, which make it resistant to water, rot, insect infestation, fungal decay, and mildew.

If you take proper care of your Teak kitchen, it will last for many years.

Teak is a natural material; therefore, differences in colour, grain, and other natural characteristics are to be expected, especially when utilising 100% reclaimed Teak.

When your Teak units arrive, they may be coated in surface oil. This is normal, and any residue will be removed within 7 - 10 days as your units adjust to their new surroundings.

It is important to note that all timber components will age to the same silver-grey patina that Teak has. The natural golden appearance can be preserved by applying Teak treatments from the top to keep the timber from degrading naturally.

Because the British climate is unpredictable, checking or cracking may occur on occasion, particularly on the end grain. These cracks (opening and shutting of the grain) can be caused by sudden variations in air humidity and temperature, particularly during the summer. This is totally natural and should have no adverse effect on the strength or durability of your kitchen units.
