The Parker Duofold Standard, along with the smaller Demi version, was the first Aerometric Duofold to be made in the Newhaven factory in 1953.  This pen, finished in classic black, carries a date code for 1954.

The pen is in excellent condition throughout.  It has been fully serviced and tested, the aerometric filling system works well and the 14 Ct. Gold No. 25 nib, which has a 1954 date code, writes with a smooth, medium to broad line.  It is a very easy writer.

The early Duofold aerometric is a decidedly 'chunky' pen with a much larger than average barrel diameter. It is a distinctive pen, full of character, and is now becoming quite collectable.
