The Toddy Coldbrew Commercial Brewer is designed to brew with up to 2.27 kg of coarsely ground coffee and can produce up to about 11 liters of coffee extract depending on the recipe and method. For best results, we recommend a consistent, coarse grind size and careful wetting of all the coffee. Here’s how the brewing process works:

1. Place a commercial filter in the sieve and secure it firmly in the brewing container.
2. Fill the filter with 2.27 kg of coarsely ground coffee.
3. Pour in 6.6 liters of cold water and make sure all the coffee is thoroughly saturated.
4. Tie the filter closed and leave enough space for the coffee to expand and move during extraction.
5. Add an additional 6.6 liters of cold water and let the brew steep for 8–16 hours, or longer if you want a deeper concentration.
6. Drain the extract, cool it down, and store. The brewing yields about 9.5 liters of concentrate.
