Golden Smaragd' is an evergreen conifer making a slow-growing conical shrub with erect sprays of bright golden green foliage which are slightly brighter during the winter. New growth is tinged yellow.

This conifer is happy growing both in a container as well as the open border. For growing in a container we recommend that you use John Innes No 3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. For planting in the open border it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. Plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
