CareSens N Blood Glucose Test Strips are made for use with CareSens N and CareSens N POP meters. These strips require no coding—simply insert the strip into the meter, and it’s ready to test.

Directions

A. Preparing the Lancing Device

Unscrew and remove the adjustable tip.

Insert a new disposable lancet firmly into the carrier.

Twist off the lancet’s protective cover and replace the adjustable tip.

Set the penetration depth—use a higher setting for thicker skin, and a lower setting for thin or sensitive skin—by rotating the adjustable tip until the number aligns with the arrow.

Pull back the sleeve to cock the device until it clicks.

B. Preparing the Meter and Test Strip

Wash your hands and clean the site to be tested.

Insert the square end of the test strip into the meter port with contact bars facing upward. The blood drop symbol will appear on the screen.

Use the lancing device to obtain a blood sample.

Touch the tip of the strip to the blood drop, ensuring the window on the black side fills completely. Only 0.5μl of blood (about the size of a pinhead) is required.

Once the window is filled, the meter will beep. If it doesn’t fill, an “Er4” message will display.

The meter will count down from 5 to 1 and display the result, which will be stored automatically.

Note: Always insert the strip before applying blood. CareSens N Blood Glucose Test Strips are for CareSens N and CareSens N POP meters only. Testing should be completed within 2 minutes.
