The Topdon BT200 is a battery tester, developed for analyzing the status of 12V and 24V lead-acid batteries. The tester assesses the condition (SOH), charge status (SOC), internal resistance, and the nominal CCA value of the battery. The results are displayed directly on the integrated LCD screen.

In addition to the standard battery test, the BT200 also performs a start test and a charge test. The start test analyzes the starting voltage and start time to check the operation of the starting system. The charge test checks the functionality of the vehicle's charging system, including the unloaded and loaded voltage, as well as the ripple voltage. The tester is equipped with reverse polarity protection, which prevents damage to the battery or the tester in case of incorrect connection.

Application and functionality:

The BT200 offers a range of diagnostic tests for both the battery and the associated systems in a vehicle.

• Battery test: Analyzes the overall condition of the battery, including the State of Health (SOH), State of Charge (SOC), internal resistance, and the actual CCA value.
• Start test: Evaluates the performance of the starting system by measuring the minimum starting voltage and time during engine start.
• Charge test: Checks the operation of the vehicle's charging system, measures voltage under different loads, and detects charging issues.
• Ripple voltage test: Detects the presence of ripple voltage in the charging system, which may indicate a faulty alternator.
• Results display: Shows the test results directly on the LCD screen, with a clear indication of the battery status.
