Description

The Shapton Professional Series uses the same finely graded ceramic cutting media as the Glass Stone range in a thicker 15mm stone format. The ceramic abrasive wears far more slowly than conventional whetstone materials, delivering consistent performance across a longer lifespan. Each stone includes a plastic storage case that converts into a practical holder during sharpening.

The 8000 grit is the finishing stone in most Professional Series honing progressions — used after the 1000 and 5000 to bring the edge to a clean, polished, shave-ready finish. Strop thoroughly after honing before shaving.

How to Use: Splash the stone with water before use. Use the plastic case as a holder to stabilise the stone. Work the blade at a consistent angle in smooth, even strokes. Strop thoroughly before shaving.
