These were captured on one of my daily walks around the lake near my home.  Before one even sees the flowers, the delightful sweet fragrance is carried by the wind.  The beautiful shade of lavender brings me joy to look at and uplifts my spirits as I walk on by them.  Lilac, both the flower and its color, may generally symbolize love, joy and happiness. Lilacs can often be associated with first love, youthful innocence, and the beginnings of a new relationship. The lilac also evokes feelings of hope and new possibilities due to its association with spring and renewal.
