This is a classic Great Britain Queen Victoria Penny Red, issued between 1858–1879, featuring the iconic profile of the young Queen Victoria. The corner lettering “G–B” identifies its position on the printing sheet, while the denomination “ONE PENNY” appears at the bottom. The stamp is printed in a rich red shade and displays the large crown watermark (typical of this issue). It bears a bold “367” numeral cancellation, which was allocated to Greenock, Scotland, giving it additional postal history interest. The Penny Red series replaced the Penny Black and was in continuous use for decades, making it a cornerstone for British philatelists.
