Jane Eyre shared her gorgeous Burgundies with our members this evening at Noizé Restaurant.
Having gained experience with some of the best-known wine estates in Australia and New Zealand, and with Egon Muller in the Mosel, Melbourne-born Jane Eyre-Renard fell in love with Burgundy and after stints working with Dominique Lafon and Domaine de Montille, set up her own micro-negociant business.
The last decade has seen her inexorable rise to stardom and she has gained loyal following with accompanying critical acclaim from luminaries such as Jancis Robinson MW, Jasper Morris MW, and Vinous’ Neal Martin. More recently she received her RVF second star (the wine equivalent of Michelin) and was also awarded their Negociant of the Year 2020, the first woman and non-French recipient, a huge achievement.
Jane works micro-parcels of vines across the Cote d’Or and Beaujolais and her signature wines include Corton Grand Cru, Gevrey Chambertin Premier Cru ‘Corbeaux’, Savigny-les-Beaune Premier Cru ‘Les Vergelesses’ and Fleurie ‘Les Labourons’, all of which were on taste at the 3-course dinner.
