The South-eastern Red-tailed Cockatoo is a critically endangered species of parrot native to southeastern Australia. It is a striking bird with a distinctive red tail and is one of only two species of cockatoo that are entirely black. Habitat loss and fragmentation, as well as hunting and poaching, have led to a significant decline in population numbers. Conservation efforts are underway to protect and preserve this unique and beautiful species.
