How to Use Organic Waste Decomposer

Prepare Solution

• 10 litres water: 5ml OWDC + 100g jaggery
• 20 litres water: 10ml OWDC + 200g jaggery
• 100 litres water: 50ml OWDC + 1kg jaggery
  

Mix OWDC and jaggery in clean water, stir well, and cover the container with cloth, paper, or cardboard so air can pass but insects stay out. Stir once or twice daily.

The solution is usually ready in 3–5 days, depending on weather. Prepare only the amount you need for your compost bin, dry leaves, kitchen waste, or garden waste.

Keep the remaining OWDC bottle tightly closed in a cool, shaded place.

Compost Process

• Add dry leaves, kitchen peels, grass clippings, and garden waste in layers.
• Sprinkle or spray the prepared OWDC solution over each layer.
• Keep the compost slightly moist, not waterlogged.
• Mix or turn the compost regularly for better airflow.
• Add dry leaves, old compost, or garden soil if the pile becomes too wet.

Use Finished Compost

Important Note

For good compost, balance wet kitchen waste with dry material. Too much wet waste can smell, attract flies, or become slimy.
