9075 Flyer GMT DIY Watch Kit

This is the first DIY Watch Kit featuring the beautiful Miyota 9075 traveler GMT, or the "TRUE" GMT.  This 9075 GMT movement features a quick-set 12-hour hand, instead of a quick-set GMT hand, making this the preferred GMT for travelers, where you will need to quickly set your local current time as you travel to different time zones.

The 9075 is also a significant upgrade from NH34. It is a higher beat movement, beating at 28,800 BPH instead of 21,600 BPH. On top of loupe-ready surface finishes, the movement is also made with significantly tighter tolerances, resulting in potentially much better watch hand alignments. There are brands that can regulate a 9 series Miyota movement to COSC standards; meaning, each of these watches you build, has the potential to be regulated to COSC standards. 

The watch dial is a brand-new Fumé Lacquer dial designed by us. This watch dial is a multi-layer dial with a modified sandwich structure, allowing us to put in plenty of lume, while keeping the GMT watch looking premium and refined. We strived to strike the balance to create a refined tool watch that works for all occasions. 

New instructional videos have been created to help you maximize the potential of this build. While this is not an "advanced" kit, you may want to consider experiencing the craft with our more entry-level kits, and then building a refined, quality timepiece with this kit.
