This is an advanced-level kit, designed for members who’ve already assembled at least one DWC watch. If you’re new to watchmaking, we recommend starting with one of our beginner kits first. But for those ready for a new challenge, this Chronograph kit is the next step in mastering your craft.

About the Movement — VK64 Mecaquartz Hybrid

At the heart of this Chronograph is the Seiko VK64 mecaquartz movement — marking the first non-mechanical kit in the DIY Watch Club series.

The VK64 is a hybrid movement that merges the best of both worlds: the precision of quartz timekeeping and the tactile, instant-reset experience of a mechanical chronograph. Its smooth push-action and flyback reset give you that authentic mechanical feel, while its quartz base ensures superior accuracy and reliability.

Special In‑House Designed Tool

To make the Chronograph build smoother, we’ve developed a custom in‑house tool exclusively for this kit — the Chronograph Second Hand Tool.

One of the trickiest parts of assembling a chronograph is achieving perfect second-hand alignment. This tool is designed to make that process precise and frustration‑free. It also functions as a stem removal tool and a stable movement holder, giving you added convenience and confidence throughout the build.
