For sale here is a very special bamboo rod made by the R.L. Winston Rod Company. The rod is number 28 of 59 in the limited edition series of rods made to commemorate the establishment of Trout Unlimited in 1959. Eight feet in length for a four-weight line. Three sections with two tips. Serial no. 4298. The rod is unused. 

Blonde cane with transparent honey-toned wraps with burgundy tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-tops. Beautifully banded agate stripping guide. Blued guides. Along with the usual rod information, the script reads, "Trout Unlimited Since 1959" on the first flat. Ring hook keeper. Bright nickel silver checks. Reverse half wells grip measuring 6 1/2" in length with plastic protective wrap still in place. Nickel silver up-locking reel seat over a beautifully figured wood spacer. "R.L. Winston Rod Co." is laser engraved on the bottom of the butt cap. The ferrule fit is perfect. The rod weighs 4.50 oz. The action is a strong medium-fast. Though marked as a 4wt some may prefer a WF5 as well. Includes the original bag and tube.
