Ontwsep™ Carb/PSA contains equal amounts of carb (graphitized carbon black, upper layer) and PSA (lower layer), separated by a polyethylene filter plate in the center.

After special surface treatment, graphitized carbon black has a strong adsorption capacity for planar molecular structures, such as chlorophyll and carotene in fruits and vegetables. PSA is N-propylethylenediamine bonded silica gel, removing fatty acids, organic acids, polar pigments and sugars, and other interfering substances. It has both primary and secondary amines and has a stronger effect on the removal of fatty acids. This solid-phase extraction cartridge is used to purify fat-containing substances such as animal tissues, milk, and eggs.
