For sale here is a Ron Kusse bamboo rod based on a H.L. Leonard 50 DF -- 8' 3/2 5-6wt with a marked weight of 4 oz. This rod was requested as a custom build from the original owner and our consignor. Made in 1994. You will probably not find another like it! The rod remains in near mint+ condition. All sections are full length and straight. 

Straw colored cane with transparent olive colored wraps. Gold and olive tipping at the winding check, male ferrules, and tip-tops. Mildly swelled butt. Ring hook keeper. Cigar grip 5 5/8" in length with only light handling marks. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over a cherry wood spacer. The nickel silver butt cap features the Maxwell-era stamp sans the registered trademark symbol. The ferrules are size 15/64 and 10/64 with an excellent fit. The rod weighs 4.90 oz. The rod has a rather fast action, much more so than the original. This is balanced with fine sensitive tips capable of finesse, delicacy, and tippet protection. An excellent modern dry-fly rod. Includes a yellow rod bag modeled after those used in the 1980's with hang tag as well as a fine tube with brass fittings.
