Originally discovered near coral-stained tidepools and abandoned dockyards, the Scarlet Snapmaw thrives in damp, grooming blade-rich environments—especially grooming stations where shiny objects are plentiful.

Lore

The Scarlet Snapmaw is known for its endless appetite for sharp clipper blades. Drawn to the glint of steel, it carefully “bites” each blade into place, guarding them with its jagged maw and unblinking eyes. Despite its toothy appearance, this creature is surprisingly gentle with its hoard and fiercely loyal to its adopter.

When well cared for, a Snapmaw will quietly organize blades by size and never lose a single one. Legends say if you hear a soft click-clack late at night, your Snapmaw is happily rearranging its collection.
