Clove Bud Essential Oil is distilled on clove buds steam -
The spice that has been part of kitchen and medicine cabinets in South and Southeast Asia. The active constituent is eugenol and it is the one that makes clove its warm effect and most of its medicinal properties. The perfume is spicy and powerful. Small is big.

Pain & Inflammation
Cloves oil has even been used as a natural form of numbing agent and therefore has been used to treat toothaches even before anesthetic dentistry. It may be topical though should always be diluted in a carrier oil and is used to treat sore muscles, joint pain and local inflammation. Heat effect is experienced and is quick on superficial pains.

Immunity & Infection
It is antimicrobial to bacteria, viruses and fungi and therefore can be used during cold and flu season when you have a cold the diffused air is an option or put on the chest diluted in a carrier oil. It will not replace medical treatment of serious infections, but it is a good daily prophylaxis.

Oral Health
It may be used in small amounts, diluted in much warm water, as a rinse in the mouth to take out bad breath or to irritate the gums or to relieve a toothache. Don't swallow it. Undiluted clove oil used on the gum tissue may be irritating; therefore, it is more essential to dilute it.

Digestion
Traditionally used in Asian herbal systems to cure bloating, indigestion and nausea. Diffuses or is more readily absorbed when used on the abdomen in a dilute form - not as such.

Aromatherapy & Energy
The smell is stimulating and warm, rather than calming. Good in mind when it is feeling tired and in the morning when it is feeling low in energy. It also cleans up the air in a diffuser and so is a feasible choice besides mood.

DIY Cleaning
To give it an antimicrobial quality as well as the spicy smell, just a couple of drops added to a blend of a home-cooked cleaner would give it. A spraying surface-cleaning mixture of vinegar and water.

How to Use

Diffuser blotch and blotch to clean the air and pick up the spirits.
Blotch- mix with coconut or jojoba oil and apply on the skin.
Massage - combine to reduce muscle spasms or circulatory problems.
Mouth rinse - not to be swallowed but swam in warm water.
Cleaning - add to homemade surface cleaners.
