Although it's compatible with indoor and outdoor use, it shouldn't be placed in direct sunlight when used outdoors. Once fruit, vegetables, nuts, or other foods are placed on the 8⁴⁄₅-inch-diameter by 3⁴⁄₅-inch-tall unit, its provides an accurate weight in ¹⁄₁₀₀-pound increments which is shown on its LCD display. If desired, users can reset the scale to zero with the tare button on the bottom of the scale to account for additional weight of ingredients or packaging.
