Purchase a DIY kit and follow our online tutorial posted on our YouTube channel (CocoKealohi) to learn how to make an open top pāpale niu (coconut hat). Each kit will contain materials to make ONE pāpale. W

IMPORTANT: Once your kit arrives, must weave your pāpale within the following 2-3 days (earlier the better) to take advantage of the frond freshness. If you are not weaving right away, place your kit in the fridge. Over time the frond will start to dry, which will make it harder to weave. Once your fronds have dried, we will NOT be held responsible for issuing a refund. 

Once ready to weave, take frond out of package and wash with fresh water.

Each kit includes: 25-27" coconut frond and piece of string to tie your ends together. Each kit is a ‘one size fits all’. You will measure accordingly and cut the frond to your size. 

You will need: pair of scissors, small hand knife and measuring tape
