An excellent Thomas and Thomas Beaverkill fly rod, 8' 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #5 line. Serial #4397. This rod is mint with no brassing to the inside of the guides.  Medium fast action. Flamed cane with 3-up node pattern and the mild "tiger stripe" flaming. Superb varnish, semi-clear wraps with brown edges and black at the oxidized swiss ferrules. 12 cork 6" western-style grip. Mortised and varnished walnut up lock nickel-silver screw lock seat. "Thomas & Thomas. Makers" stamped on the slide. "T.M.J." engraved on the bottom cap. Original rod bag and aluminum tube with brass top and bottom. Data sticker claimes a weight of 3 7/8 oz but my scale has it at 5.9 oz.
