This handsome raised pillar Leonard Grilse reel is in very good condition and a superb descendant of the style popularized by the famous Philbrook model years earlier. Of course this Leonard-Mills version, likely from the 1930's, boasts black hard rubber face plates and was designed for light salmon fishing. This is the 3 5/8" diameter model and boasts a heavy and light drag adjustment. An excellent raised pillar model, this would fish well today for anyone looking for a heavy trout or light salmon weight reel.
