The THOR Wide range has been developed in response to the requirement for waiting room chairs that
have a larger frame and higher capacity. The Thor Wide Chair and Thor Chair go together as a range to
offer patient dignity by being from the same design style. They sit together in a waiting room and look
like a family. The Thor Range is perfect as a heavy duty chair for high duty cycle waiting rooms such as
A&E environments or very busy GP Practices or clinics.

Thor Wide has a maximum user capacity of 200kg and 850mm width between the arms. It therefore
can be considered as a bariatric chair. With strong arms and an upright design offering the user easy
entrance and exit to and from the seat. The seat has a depth of 615mm which is ample whist the seat
height is 480mm making standing up from the chair easy. All chairs come with an adjustable height
non-marking glide for leveling. The Thor is ideal for waiting areas for maternity or where parent and
child visits as there is no risk of overload due to the child sitting on the parents lap.

Upholstery

The Thor Wide Chair is upholstered in NHS quality vinyl that is washable and cleanable in NHS standard
cleaning materials up to 10000ppm chlorine solutions and standard cleaning wipes such as Clinell
Universal Wipes. They also offer flammability ratings of BS5852: 2006 Ignition Source 5, BS7176:
Medium Hazard.
