Australian Hardwood is perfect for any fencing and landscaping projects where structural-grade materials are not required. The species commonly used are Spotted Gum, and Ironbark. In these applications, hardwood rails provide strength and durability against the elements, as well as resistance to decay and insect damage. 

To further extend the life of your hardwood rails, a good penetrating oil should be used. We can assist with selecting the best oil to suit your application.

Maintenance:

• Avoid exposing hardwood rails to excessive heat, such as from direct sunlight or heaters, as this can cause the wood to dry out and crack.
• Keep the hardwood rails dry and well-ventilated to prevent mould and mildew growth. If the wood becomes wet, dry it thoroughly before applying any finish.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasives on hardwood rails as they can damage the wood's finish and weaken its structural integrity.
