S.H.I.E.L.D, or Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, was originally founded in the United States of America as an extra governmental military counter terrorism and intelligence agency, founded to protect the USA and later the world. S.H.I.E.L.D employs the use of advanced weaponry and extraordinary special agents and is run by the infamous Nick Fury. S.H.I.E.L.D was frequently required to combat extraterrestrials, demigods and super humans, which eventually lead to the Formation of the Avengers, a powerful group of superheroes.
