Montri by Dusita at Indigo Perfumery

My father’s poetry is at the core of every single fragrance I compose. For my thirteenth perfume, I wanted to pay an even more direct homage to his personality. Named after him, Montri conveys aspects of his character and idiosyncrasies, the things he loved and believed in, as well as the fragrances he mostly enjoyed.

Wanting to reflect the soul’s eternal character, I went one step further: I imagined what kind of fragrance he would have loved today, had he still been alive. I aimed to express my father's spirituality, gentleness, and love for classic French perfumery through a composition centered around Oud Palao (a material my dad loved as meditation incense).

I approached this precious ingredient with suavity and elegance as my creative guides, adding more woods, spices, and florals; I also incorporated olfactive nuances of ink, books, leather, and tobacco - smells that I also associate with my dad. I furthermore hope that I managed to instill in the fragrance a touch of my father's humanism and creativity, his unfailing dedication to good work and his generosity of spirit.
