Papaya Powder is a refreshing and delicious summertime aroma. This product is great for balancing oily skin and exfoliating dry spots. Papaya is commonly used in skincare products to revitalize the skin. Papaya includes Vitamin A, which helps uncover the next layer of skin and promotes a beautiful complexion. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that improves skin elasticity and softness.

For powdered fruit extract, the maximum amount should not exceed 0.5% of the whole product. For tincture form, the maximum amount should not exceed 5%. Please be aware that this extract may include small dark particles. These particles are from the solidified papaya fruit and will dissolve in liquid. Fruit extracts include all of the nutrients and health characteristics of the original fruit, but may not have the same aroma. Fruit extracts are intended to give nutritional characteristics to formulations, not fragrance them.

Make a tincture using fruit extracts. To add fruit extracts to formulations, dissolve the extract in an appropriate solvent (e.g. Vodka or grain alcohol with less aroma), water, glycerin, or a combination of solvents (e.g., water: alcohol or water: glycerin) and add the tincture to the product. Some extracts may not be fully soluble, resulting in residue that can be removed with a filter. The MSDS will indicate if the extract is only partially soluble.

Unlike herbal tinctures, there is no need to let the tincture sit to extract the plant's contents. The goal is to liquefy the powder, which was previously done during the extraction process, to provide an even blend with your product. Once the fruit extract is soaked with the solvent, it can be utilized immediately.

A 100 ml tincture typically contains 20 g of the raw plant. Apple powder has a 12:1 extract ratio, which means it takes 12 kg of extract to generate 1 kg of extract. To make a 100 mL tincture with 20 g of raw fruit, add 1.6 g of extract (see table above) to 100 mL of a suitable solvent.

Once wet, tinctures should be used immediately unless properly preserved. To use fruit extracts, use 0.1-0.5 percent of the product's weight. To include extracts into formulations, add them during the cool-down step. • Suitable for thick items such as shampoos and creams. To dissolve the powdered extract, add 5-10 ml of hot water (45C - 50C; cool down phase temperature) and mix thoroughly. Incorporate the mixture well into the product. For water-based products such as mists and toners, the extract does not need to be dissolved before being added.
