For sale here we have a fine bamboo rod made by the team of Tom Chin & Rouel Herico of California -- 7'1" 2/2 5wt. Serial no. 122606. The rod is in near mint condition not having been fished, just lawn cast. All sections are full length and straight.

The rod features lovely medium-dark toned cane with chestnut wraps. Red signature wrap as well as red tipping at the winding check, ferrules, and tip-tops. Bright guides. The tips are expertly bookmatched. Handsome burl wood winding check that matches the reel seat spacer. The full-wells grip is 6" in length with the protective plastic shrinkwrap still in place. Up-locking bright nickel silver reel seat over burl wood spacer. There is a bit of very minor wear around the rim of the butt cap. The ferrule fit is excellent. A fine mahogany ferrule plug is included. The rod weighs 4.25 oz. The action is somewhat full flexing and I'd rate it on the medium side of medium-fast. Nice dry fly rod with thin tips and a nice power hinge through the middle of the rod. Includes original bag and labeled tube noting the year made - 2006.
