Upon opening, notes of soft smoke and dry roots appear. As it evolves, it develops facets reminiscent of roasted coffee, dark cocoa, and fire-charred oak barrels. These notes integrate with a characteristic earthy background that evokes the root freshly extracted from the soil.

Despite its depth, it retains a woody facet that provides balance to the whole, preventing the profile from becoming excessively heavy. The result is a complex, robust, and extraordinarily elegant raw material.

Curing Process

Today, August 10, 2025, the curing of 1 kilogram of this Java vetiver distilled in 2022 begins, through storage in a traditional leather Kuppi bottle.

Kuppi bottles have been used for generations in Indonesia for aging aromatic oils. During this process, the oil continues to evolve slowly, developing new aromatic facets and achieving greater integration among its different components.

The objective of this curing is to enhance the softness, depth, and complexity of the vetiver, allowing the smoky, earthy, and woody notes to further meld over the years.

Expected Evolution
