For sale here is a H.L. Leonard Model 38L bamboo rod. 7 feet with two sections and two tips. Serial # 1081, made around 1970. Weight is 2 5/8 oz. with a softer action for a DT2 or WF3 line. Perfect for fishing little spring runs and small streams where delicate presentation is essential. The size 10 ferrule makes this is a scarce light line 7ft. post-fire model as most were made size with a 11 (or larger) ferrules in the model 38 and heavier 38H. Red wraps with dark green tipping at hook keeper and tip ferrules. Slide band reel seat with Leonard stamped butt cap and Butternut spacer. Original bag & tube.
