Commonly known as Golden Wattle, Acacia is the floral emblem of Australia with its masses of golden flowers brightening the bush and gardens in late winter to early spring. The flowers are fragrant and can be used for making perfume, while the seed is edible and contain as much as 25% more protein than common cereals.
