A band that captivates the world with their one and only style Geometric Patterns releases their latest album! Geometrical Pattern is a five-piece band that looks as if they have stepped back in time from the 70's. They have been performing overseas for the past 10 years. The band has been active mainly overseas for the past 10 years, and is friends with artists such as Kruambing and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, who are at the forefront of the current indie scene. Fuji Rock 2022. They have released their new album "Kumoyo Island" on their own label "Guruguru Brain," about four years after their last album "Masana Temples. The recording was done at Tsubame Studio in Asakusabashi, which they used in the early days of their career. They had chosen Amsterdam as their base of operations during the lockdown and pandemic touring hiatus, and felt their sense of freedom reignited by returning to the old downtown area or their home town. During their month-and-a-half stay in Tokyo, they identified bits and pieces of ideas they had been stockpiling and built them up in the studio to complete this album. The grand opening track "Monaka" opens with a 60's progressive rock-like atmosphere and then turns around to whisper in your ear the unique lyrics "Mo, na~ka, na~ka na~ka na~ka na" focusing on the comfort of the words, while "Dancing Blue" features a wah guitar reminiscent of Kuruan Bin, dancing lightly over a rolling rhythm. Dancing Blue" dances lightly over the rolling rhythm. The first half of the song is like a roller coaster ride through time and space, while the second half is psychedelic and reminiscent of the Beatles' "Tomorrow Never Knows". Gomugomu", "Daydream Soda", which seems to burst out of love for Bose of Canada, and "Field of Tiger Lilies", a narcotic loop of odd time signatures and guitar riffs, each song has a completely different approach, yet each song is a geometric pattern. Each song has a completely different approach, yet each song radiates an intense originality that can only be described as a geometric pattern. The album closes with the beautiful ambient song "Maison Silk Road" lingering in the background. Kumoyo Island" may have been inspired by a glimpse of the island nation of Japan through the clouds as they flew overhead on their way back to Japan. Although there is no way to know the true meaning of the name except to confirm it directly with the artists themselves, the album represents a horizon that could only be reached by these artists, who have always been "alternative" wherever they have been in the world.
