Wolfgang Anheisser (1929-1974), the famous baritone Wolfgang Anheisser, one of the leading operetta singers of all time, received singing lessons from his mother, an opera singer, and after graduating from high school, he studied at the Freiburg Music University. He then studied musicology at the Milan Verdi Conservatory and made his debut in 1961 singing Mozart and sang in many German opera houses. In 1974, she sang "Mirecker: The Beggar Student" at the Cologne Opera House. He died after falling from the balcony onto the stage during a performance of "Millecker: The Beggar Student" at the Cologne Opera on New Year's Day, 1974.
