This necklace contains an authentic piece of Moldavite meteorite glass. This amazing material was created during a meteorite impact in Germany over 14 million years ago. Glass like this is formed from the intense heat melting sediments and is scientifically known as a tektite.

This 1.004" tektite is set into a sterling silver prong bezel and contains a chain of the same material. Each necklace comes in a decorative box and includes a small information card about the specimen. The card serves as the certificate of authenticity and can be found underneath the padded lining of the display box.
