As the youngest son of Uranus and Gaia, Cronos rose to power by overthrowing his own father, becoming the world’s first king and ruler of both his siblings and fellow Titans. In a union with his sister Rhea, Cronos eventually met his own downfall at the hands of his son Zeus.

In Greek mythology, Cronos was not only the god of time but also the Titan who reshaped the cosmos by dethroning his father Uranus. Assisted by his mother Gaia, he cunningly infiltrated Uranus’ slumber and castrated him using a flint. With this audacious act, Cronos assumed leadership of the Titans, forever altering the course of the divine realm.
